This is a fun site which has many good and varied games, activities, puzzles, colouring pages and lots more. There is some very useful information which can be used for project work, and some fascinating geographical information. Some of the passages may be rather difficult for this level, but the games and activities are easy and fun.

Living in the desert

This site provides lots of information about deserts although it focuses mainly on American deserts. However, this could be useful should you wish to do a project comparing life in different deserts. There is information about the types of animals, plants and people which live in the deserts, how the deserts were formed and fun activities to do in the desert.

This site is dedicated to the Egyptian landscape. There are some fabulous photographs showing the different types of animals which live in different areas of Egypt in addition to some very informative texts which could easily be adapted for reading comprehension.

An Australian tale

This site is written specially for children and contains many fun activities which will help students learn about Australia. There are jigsaw puzzles, ideas for student projects, quizzes, reading passages, and links to other useful sites.

This site takes children around the world and gives useful and interesting information about a selection of countries and their customs. Students can easily navigate around the site and are taken on a learning adventure.

The Sea and coast

This site lets students investigate the seaside and plan their ideal seaside holiday. There are lots of clear photographs and fun characters who guide the students round the site.
